• As it stands today, we are scheduled to move into our first chapter house in Fall 2011. Originally the university planned to build an entirely new Greek Community, which was to be located in the general vicinity of Bluff Hall. However, that project came in drastically over budget and it was decided that the only other feasible option was to completely renovate the family housing apartment buildings in Cougar Village (formerly known as Tower Lake) and turn them into Greek Housing.

During the first phase of the project, three 23 man chapter houses will be built to accommodate ourselves, Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Kappa Lambda. The current financial model puts the first years "rent" at $134,220 with an expected increase of 3% each year. Our Housing Corps is currently working with University Housing staff on various methods of fulfilling this financial obligations. Once a plan is finalized we will update all of you with that information. After all of the details are worked out the chapter will be required to sign a 5-year agreements with the University guaranteeing 100% occupancy, meet established deadlines, and meet insurance requirements.

The general timeline for the housing plan is as follows:

    November 1, 2010:             Chapter Commitment
December 9, 2010: Seeking Board of Trustees Approval
    Winter 2010: Design Development
    Spring 2010: Bidding Process

    August 2011: Phase I Completed

    Floor Plan

  • In order to help raise funds to cover the costs of operating a Chapter House, the Housing Corps has set up a PayPal account in order to accept donations from our alumni base. This account is controlled by your alumni representatives on the Housing Corps, and any funds given to the actives from this account will first have to be approved by them. Besides a one time donation, a large number of alumni have also expressed interest in a reoccurring donation that automatically gets billed to them on a monthly basis. In order to facilitate this request with have also added a "subscribe" payment option.
